Artist Bio
David Klass studied art and architecture at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. After graduation in 1966 he went to work for sculptor Theodore Roszak. In 1973 he returned to the classroom, studying Anatomy for Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. Mr. Klass now lives and works in New York City, where he lives with his wife. He has been exhibiting his sculpture since 1962 and is represented in many public and private collections. Mr. Klass has taught his techniques at The New York Academy of Art, The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and the Sculpture Center in New York. He is a member of the National Sculpture Society. His sculpture is also represented in Brookgreen Gardens in South Carolina, America's oldest and finest sculpture garden.
