Artist Bio
Allen Linder was born in Washington DC. He studied direct stone carving at the University of Maryland and has been a full time artist for 20 years. His dedication to the discipline of direct carving has inspired both of his current bodies of work. The ever-unfolding story of his life is revealed through his figurative carvings, while his investigation into the very nature of time and space has given rise to the 'Spherical Divisions'. He enjoys his life with his wife and two sons, and is currently involved in beginning his own school in rural Pennsylvania dedicated to the art of direct carving.
