Figurative (Realistic)


Depicts the subject (people, animals, or other objects) in a realistic / easily recognizable way.

* Portraiture - All of these artists can do portraiture.

Figurative (Modern)


Depicts the subject (people, animals, or other objects) in a much more stylized fashion. Certain features are either exaggerated, minimized, stylized or 'suggested' in an attempt to show the 'essence' of the subject.

 

Abstract (Geometric)


Flat planes, angles, spheres and other geometric forms dominate these sculptures. May or may not be actually trying to depict any particular subject matter.

 

Abstract (Curvilinear)


Smooth, flowing curvilinear lines dominate these sculptures. May or may not be actually trying to depict any particular subject.

 

Miscellaneous


Difficult to fit in any category: Kinetic (moving) sculpture, Water / Fountain Sculpture, 'Wind-Harp' Sculpture, etc.
